| XML for Wireless Images (XWI) | |||||||||||||||
|
XWI is an XML-based format for exchanging wireless images (i.e. WBMP, OTB,
CLI and Operator Logos). Images are represented as XML documents for
being sent to remote applications supporting this technology. Why is XML image representation useful? Many enterprise-level applications meet the need for exchanging wireless images. It is not possible to operate directly with byte streams, but if an application is able to work with XML documents, it can also send and receive wireless images as XML. Besides, XWI images can be transformed to other images using XSL transformations, without complicated logic. |
