With EzWAP 2.1, EZOS is offering more than just a WAP micro-browser - here comes the first Secure Mobile Internet client.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - July 3, 2001 - EZOS, a service provider active in the field of the mobile I.T. business, announced the European launch of its next generation of micro-browsers today during Microsoft Tech-Ed 2001 Europe, Barcelona (Microsoft Mobile Pavilion, booth 18). The main advantages of EzWAP 2.1 include full support for multiple markup languages (including WML, cHTML and xHTML Basic) as used by current and future mobile Internets and strong user authentication through RSA SecurIDR technology.

Last year, EZOS developed EzWAP 1.0, the first platform-independent WAP micro-browser that enables a variety of computing systems to access the mobile Internet environment such as: mobile devices (Pocket PCs, PC companions), embedded systems and PCs running Microsoft Windows 95/98, Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows CE.

As a provider of services and solutions for mobile technologies, our goal has been to turn our initial WAP micro-browser into a Secure Mobile Internet Client. With version 2.0, we added WTLS and Push technologies; Version 2.1 is another major step in the right direction. Multiple markup languages support will allow us to offer the kind of access that millions of Japanese subscribers have been enjoying for some time now such as color graphics and animated graphics. With more than ten million users, RSA SecurIDR authentication is by far the world's leading solution for two-factor authentication. This technology, which is embedded in our micro-browser, will enable secure automatic connection to corporate networks for e-mail and mobile services.

'EzWAP 2.1 for Pocket PC' will be available immediately in seven languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Traditional and Continental Chinese. 'EzWAP 2.1 for HPC/2000' and EzWAP 2.1 for Palm' will be launched in the late summer. All these micro-browsers are based on MoByKit, our platform-independent toolkit that is available for manufacturers of electronic appliances who want to integrate Mobile Internet technology quickly into their particular platforms.
